About Chelsea
Chelsea Green is a Licensed Professional Counselor and equine-assisted facilitator who partners with horses and nature to support and inspire other humans. Chelsea offers experiential, trauma-informed, and holistic care that invites embodied awareness, relational healing, and mutual respect between humans and nature. She offers client sessions online, at the farm, or in her Johnson City office.
Her background as a professional artist and mindfulness teacher informs her creative, experiential approach. One that blends sensitivity, imagination, and grounded presence to meet people and the natural world just as they are. She believes that no one and no thing is beyond repair or without hope, and that it is our duty as deeply-caring individuals to hold tight to a vision of a more just and livable world for all.
Chelsea’s work and community offerings are inspired by her desire to help humans and the more-than-human world be more well.
In my own words…
As a trained Couples and Family Therapist, I see each client I work with as a unique individual who is also inherently connected to their relationships, their culture, & their environment. I am passionate about educating, advocating for, and creatively solving problems with clients to improve their well-being and help them to build resilience in an increasingly chaotic world.
I utilize curiosity, mindfulness, body-based, and trauma-responsive therapies in my work. In addition to therapy, I also offer group classes and workshops on the complex emotions related to the ecological crises, clinician well-being, and creating healthy relationships — with ourselves, others, and the natural world.
I love working with people who are seeking deeper connections with themselves and others, who want to thrive in their relationships, and who want to make meaningful contributions to their communities and the world.
